A Favorite DG local find and dine: Batch New Southern Kitchen
November 28, 2022We practically live across the street and FINALLY decided to give this place a whirl. Well, needless to say, we are there at least 2x a month now. Fun, creative, in-your-face plates amid a super chill vibe with great music.
S’mores Waffle, Hangover Hash and the Lil’Piggy Frittata are our favorites from the All-Day Brunch Menu on the weekends while the House-Made Bacon Tots, Green and Grain Salad, and the Dirty South Burger are our favs from the Lunch Menu. We always sit outside on the new deck (that wasn’t there when it was Mellow Mushroom) underneath strong ceiling fans and we anything but hot.
The other best part about this place? The kitchen collects all its products from local farmers.
Oh, and don’t forget to try one of their “garden-to-glass” super specialty cocktails as well. The Toasted Pecan Wiskey Sour and the Chantham Artillery Punch are not only the tastiest, but some of the most beautiful drinks you’ll sip on as well. And down to the basics? They of course serve your favorite beer and wine too. Nick’s go-to is Wicked Weed Rotating Sour and I gravitate towards the Ginger-Peach White Sangria any day.
